NOTE: I'm off to camp this summer as a counselor, that should make for some interesting entries. So check back in late August.

I'm in a play called Hank and Gretchen. Which is the
rockin' rap 90's version of Hansel
and Gretel. Tonight is the last night of the play. I wish
it wasn't. It was my most favorite play I've ever been in.
8-5-92 (age 11)
A few weeks ago I was in a play called We Already Did
That! It's a review of some of the past plays (NOTE: This was done as part of the Sunshine Players to which I appeared in the
first production of the group and remained active till I turned 18, the cut off age.
I've been the spokesperson of the group on numerous occasions.) There was a
really nice girls named Casey, she was real nice. I made a lot of other great
friends. There was different scenes from plays. Everybody said one of my
scenes was their favorite. It was called "Where's Terry?"

Sometimes I look in the mirror and wonder why I was put on earth. I hope I can help
in a big way to change the future...and the past problems.

Tonight was opening night of West of Pecos. Before the play Ellis, me and
Camille were on the couch, with me in the middle and sitting extremely close to each other
(it's a little couch). He and Camile ate most of my dinner, I didn't mind. We
joked about funny stuff, he is so funny. He know calls me mama (NOTE: I played his mother). He goes,
"Hey Momma." He's so funny. Our play went great. We covered
for each other great (Note: We
frequently forgot lines or switched lines, but the audience never noticed. We made a
great cast. It helped that we were all very close.)

Recently I was in Oklahoma! at MLT.
For 6 weeks I got to know a lot of people and had a fun. Today (sunday) was a
matinee and our last show. (NOTE: Cast and characters below) I know I will never forget these people.
It was my favorite cast to work with. Let me give you a quick review.
First there was Marc: His jug he had to blow on to make music was the plot for many off stage laughs. First Leasa put 2 or 3 goldfish in the jug. The next day no one knew who did it so she made cupcakes with goldfish crackers. Everyone, even Marc, enjoyed that. (I cam late though and missed this). Leasa handed a card to Marc, apologising since he'd gotten angry about it. Today Jennifer, 14, exchanged the water filled jug with lemon water cause she knew he'd take a big swig of it on stage.
The next 2 people are Drew (my square dancing partner) and Tee. I gotta hand it to these fellas, they're hilarious! Today Drew put toilet paper around Leasa's bustle. Tee gave Drew a piggyback ride for the bows.
Then there'sJoe. Everyone thought he was well...different. Instead of saying his line of, "I'll give ya' $18 for it," when he's buying Curly's gun. He accidently said 24. So, today, this time on purpose, since Curly had to quickly add up Joe's (Mike in the play) mistake and miscounted by $10 he said he'd give Curly $29.49. This time Curly was ff by $5.
Then there's Marjorie. She was cool. On enight I picked up a wig and said,"Hey Marjorie wouldn't it be funny if you cut this in 1/2 and put it under your arms and went on stage?" so she stuffed it down her shirt and stuck some out each sleeve. But, she didn't go on stage with it:)
Ashley was singing a song called "People Will Say We're in Love". One line is," Give me my roase and my glove." What she said was, "Give me my robe and my glove." It was funny! Tonight Jonathan said she started laughin for no reason at all during the same song.
Travis (NOTE: My mom and I later saw him in a Nashville production and heard he had done quite well in local theater. Perhaps he'll be on Broadway) was very funny! Last night he came out in long john's Now that was funny! Now that's entertainment!
Rusty and Marc bowed to the audience and then turned their backs toward the audience and bowed gain, butts out.
Oh, yeah, I got to do clogging/buck dancing solo! That's all I can think about the play, 6 weeks of my life. Also, happening today, I joined the church after 9 months of grueling learning about the church. I answered questions before Session. Today I stood before the congregation with the other Jr. High students and was asked quesitons about what we believed. I recieved a pin with the Presbyterian symbol on it and a NIV Student Bible. It was a lovely service. Angela cried when she was baptized though (the rest of us had been christened/baptized already)....

I got over the fight (NOTE: i had gotten in a huge blowout ith my mom. It was stupid.) I
prayed about it in the shower. I actually got on my knees and prayed. it was
so strange. When I went to my room afterwards I changed the calndar. It's a
daily tear-off horoscoe calendar. It actually answered my prayer. I've kept
the piece of paper as a reminder. (NOTE: it reads, "Lurching from crisis to crisis exhausts your energy
reserves. Strengthen your roots and foundations as the Moon unites with Mars.
Don't take the easy way out of criticizing loved ones. Be a bridge-builder in all
your key relationships.") Mom and I visited UTC today. It was nice.
People were friendly, but there were too many people. I don't know. I
got the Brian Stetzer Orchestra tape. It's really good. It has swing music on
it. Tomorrow I have nothing to do. Yeah! Rest! Sleeping finally!
Well, that's all.
10-27-98
Tonight was elementary bsaketball night. The seniors coach the elementary and I was
supposed to be ref, but Mandy did it instead. No loss. Maria and I got bored
and went driving around. We had more fun. I don't kno why we're getting along
so well, but whatever works. Casey and I are rooming together at MTSU. We've
got to get together though and fill out the form so we'll be together. I'm psyched.
That's all. We didn't go to Breanne's this past weekend. She and
I were both sick. I think the little bug I had went to Jennifer and Casey cause they
drnk from my coke and no one else did and we were all sick with the same symptoms.
Oops! Well, bye!
12-3-98
It's not that I haven't written in a while. It's just that Ive been keeping a
computer diary. But I'm here now, not there. It was opening night for A
Christmas Treasury. Or as I like to call it "A Christmas Diasaster".
We have to sing this terrible medley that doesn't blend well. Then 5 of us
(me included) stay on stage for a little intro. Well, after we'd done our lines no
one came out and we just stood there. Megan finally said something and we walked
off. Well, the stage was empty for 5 minutes before someone went on. It was
awful! Everyting went out of order. It was so bad it's not even funny.
Me and Emily had to use scripts on stage cause we got them yesterday and hadn't had time
to memorize them yet. Isn't that awful! Well, tomorrow's our field trip to
Cannon County to see The Best Little Christmas Pageant Ever. It will be good
I think. Well, bye.
1-20-99
Exactly 28 days till I'm legal! Today went well.
I talked to Chaney. He said he was supposed to go out with a friend friday but if
that fell through, we could all get together. Can you believe that! Breanne
was furious when I told her. I mean, the nerve! Breanne and I tried out for Joesph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Cannon County) as well as Schoolhouse Rocks
(Sunshine Players) tuesday. (NOTE:
We got in both, but dropped Schoolhouse.)
Bruno (Brazillian exchange student) is so funny! He sang to Maria and I. It was funny. Then he, me, Maria, and Jaikie somehow broke into a chorus of "I touch myself". This old 80's song. Everyone in the room stared, it was funny. Later I passed him (Bruno) in the hall and he sang "Hit me baby one more time" by Britney Spears. I think he's crazy, but fnny.
Today was the first day of MTSU acting class for this semester. Samantha is in it as well as the regulars (me). I get to sing the National Anthem at homecoming with some other people. Breanne is going to be my "date". Isn't that funny!
3-7-99
Rehearsals are going good. My husband is this funny
little dutch guy named Yelka, but he's Zebulun in the play (ok, so he's about 6'4",
not so little.) We (choir) sang at Kingwood tonight. I have a small solo.
Oh! Scott got an engagement ring! He doesn't know when he'll ask her though.
I'm so happy! Well, bye.
The Tomoko Episode
Background info: Tomoko moved here frmo Japan our Junior year. It took us forever to orient her to American ways. But boy, once she was oriented, look out! Anyways. She was really nice. Then comes our senior year! Keep in mind, our class of 40 was actually pretty close. Tomoko however, saw a very divided line of the losers (us) and the higher class (note, there was a small line that was diminshed by Christmas break, however, it was hard to tell what side of the line many people fell on, except it seems, to Tomoko.) On the class trip, we kept losing Tomoko (Casey and I, we were all rooming together wih my mom). Some serious stuff went down. It wsn't just running off with the so called "popular" people. She also said I made her feel like I forced her to sleep on the floor. (This was not true, I usually sleep on the floor or on a roll away at hotels, that way everyone gets there own bed.) Anyways, she told some of the girls this and slept on their couch. No big deal, but it's the principle. Casey offered to share beds with her, I offered to take the floor. But that's not how Tomoko felt. And as I recall Casey tried to explain that. So that's how it all started. Now onto the story. As for why Maria is involved, she never liked Maria, and I don't think Maria ever really liked her.
10-28-98
This Tomoko thing is way out of hand. She started crying apparently and told Beth
and Crissy why she was crying. And now like everyone's mad at Maria and I.
Saying we were talking bad about her. The two of us are and have been mad cause
Tomoko has been rude to us. Maria was crying after school cause Jonathan h. was
yelling at her. Though he never bothered to asked her side. Franklin told
Tomoko my side and told me her side. I really respect him for not taking sides.
We (Maria and I) decided it best that we sleep on it before speaking to
Tomoko. We made our peace with Crissy, but I left before I could talk to anyone else
cause I had an appointment. Maria was so upset. Tomoko doesn't realize how
much damage she did. If she was mad at us she should have told us or kept it atleast
in our group. Well, bye.
11-15-98
Tomoko is still mad at us too. We didn't do anything. Maria wrote her a
note saying we should talk and that Tomoko could talk to us each seperately so she
wouldn't feel like we were ganging up on her. She won't talk at all though. I
asked her monday if class had started yet. She just kept walking. How rude.
In economics if we sit by her, she'll get up and move! Halloween wasfun.
Jennifer and I went to Mandy and Matt's party. We went on a haunted trail.
Everyone was scared, but me. I just can't get scared anymore. Isn't
that wierd? Jennifer and I bet on pool with monopoly money, but the guys playing
thought it was real. Every time one of us would lose (we had it as high as $40) who
ever we bet on would be like, "Don't worry Kristin I'll get your money back."
It was so funny. In the end it all evened out though. Well, tomorrow is
MTSU Honors chorus. I'm excited! Bye.
